Boil order lifted for Fredonia water users

The Chautauqua County Health Department, in conjunction with the village of Fredonia has lifted the boil water order for all of its water customers, including those within the town of Pomfret.

The issue at the treatment process was corrected Tuesday afternoon and two consecutive days of testing indicate that the water in the distribution system is safe for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, making coffee.
