Festivals Fredonia, Inc. has announced An Evening of Ice Wine 2026, a unique winter tasting experience celebrating the exceptional ice wines of the Lake Erie region.

The event will take place on Friday, Jan. 16, at The White Inn and Coughlan’s Pub in downtown Fredonia. The White Inn is offering wine pairings with a three-course dinner and ice wines with specialty desserts, and Coughlan’s Pub will have wine pairings with small bites and ice wines, also with specialty desserts.

Presented and sponsored by Festivals Fredonia, Chautauqua County IDA and Southern Chautauqua FCU, this elegant evening will introduce guests to the artistry and science behind ice wine, a rare and highly regarded style produced from grapes harvested and pressed while frozen. Guests will have the opportunity to sample and learn from three of the region’s premier wineries: 21 Brix Winery, Mazza Vineyards, and Johnson Estate Winery.

The evening will also showcase thoughtfully crafted culinary pairings from an outstanding lineup of local chefs, including Devin Jones, Matt Pantano, Phil McMullen, and Andrew Smith, each creating dishes designed to complement the distinctive flavors of ice wine.

To complete the experience, desserts will be featured from some of the area’s most celebrated bakeries and chocolatiers: Chai’s Chocolates, Butterlow Cafe & Patisserie, and Om Nohm Gluten Free Bakery, offering a diverse and indulgent finale to the tasting.
