Brocton names top January students

BROCTON — Brocton Central School has named its top January students.

Eighth‒grader Isaac Brady, son of Kristen and Matthew Brady of Portland, has been chosen for Brocton Middle School. A motivated and community‒minded student, Isaac stands out for his leadership and clear goals.

Isaac is an active member of Engage Community Youth (ECY) and the Junior Honor Society, where he regularly contributes to service projects and school activities. Isaac says Social Studies is his favorite subject.

Looking ahead, Isaac plans to attend trade school to train as an automotive mechanic. He hopes to build a career in mechanics and eventually buy a house. While he does not plan to attend a four‒year college, he is enthusiastic about the opportunities trade school will provide.

Senior Ryleigh Morrison was named by Brocton High School, earning recognition for her dedication to athletics, academics and future service.

Ryleigh is a 12th‒grader from Portland and the daughter of Nicky and Michael Morrison. Ryleigh is a committed member of the Cross Country team. She is also a member of the National Technical Honor Society.

Ryleigh plans to enlist in the United States Air Force after graduation and train as a military police officer.

When she is not training with her team or studying, Ryleigh enjoys running, working out and fishing.
