Brocton lists top March students

BROCTON — Brocton Central School has named its students of the month for March.

Ryleigh Peterson, a seventh-grade and Brocton Middle School student, is a resident of Brocton, and the daughter of Matthew Peterson and Kathy Frazier.

Throughout her time at Brocton Middle School, Ryleigh has demonstrated exceptional qualities as a student. Her favorite subject is Science, and her teachers praise her as a kind-hearted hard worker who puts forth her best effort on assignments, remains responsible, and contributes meaningfully to class discussions.

Her willingness to accept feedback, collaborate with others, and maintain a positive attitude make her a valued and well-liked member of the classroom community. Looking ahead, Ryleigh intends to pursue a career in interior design or graphic design, fields that will allow her to blend her analytical strengths with her natural creativity and eye for aesthetics.

Kathryn Brostrom, a 12th-grade student from Portland, and daughter of Amy and Todd Brostrom, was chosen for Brocton High School.

Throughout her high school career, Katy has maintained honor roll status, demonstrating consistent dedication to her studies. Mathematics is her favorite subject, and her academic success is matched by her active involvement in school life. As a crew member for the Drama Club’s production of “Once Upon a One More Time,” and as a contributor to the Brocton Review, Katy has shown that her talents extend far beyond the classroom.

What truly sets Katy apart is her commitment to her community. Since age 14, she has worked at Pizza Gurus, where she has held multiple positions. Rather than simply clocking in and out, Katy views her job as an opportunity to brighten customers’ days through genuine interaction and service.

Outside of school and work, Katy values time with her family, playing video games with her niece and nephew and enjoying their company. She also pursues personal interests, regularly learning new hair and makeup techniques through online tutorials.

As Katy looks toward her future, her college and career plans remain undecided. However, her vision is clear: “I hope to find a career where I can make a difference in my community.”

Starting at $3.50/week.
