BROCTON — Students of the month have been announced for April by the Brocton Central School district.

Brocton Middle School is proud to recognize Aria Donato, a seventh-grade student from Pomfret. Aria’s parents, Stephanie Pati and Michael Donato, share in this well-deserved honor.

Aria exemplifies the well-rounded student, balancing academics with a vibrant array of activities and interests.

She is an active member of both the Art Club and participates in both Band and Chorus, showcasing her creative talents across multiple disciplines. Her favorite subject is art class with Ms. Brash, where she thrives in a creative environment. “Ms. Brash is so nice and I love being creative,” Aria shared about her passion for the subject.

Beyond the classroom, Aria stays engaged with a variety of interests, from reading and making bracelets to exploring digital creativity through gaming.

These pursuits reflect her imaginative spirit and dedication to personal growth.

Looking toward the future, Aria has set her sights high. “I want to be the best student I can be to accomplish my goals and fulfill my dreams,” she explained. Her aspirations extend to culinary arts, where she plans to attend culinary school to become a pastry chef.

Nadya Lebron is a senior at Brocton High School. Nadya resides in Brocton with her parents, Jessica and Christopher Kelley.

Throughout her high school career, Nadya has distinguished herself as a dedicated student, skilled tradesperson, and committed member of the school community.

For the past three years, Nadya has demonstrated exceptional school spirit and commitment by serving as scorekeeper for girls varsity and JV basketball, varsity boys basketball, and varsity volleyball.

Her consistent support behind the scenes has made a meaningful impact on our athletic programs and showcases her dedication to her peers.

Nadya’s most impressive achievements have come through her work in the Welding/Metal Fabrication program at the Loguidice Educational Center, where she ranks at the top of her class. Her excellence has been recognized through multiple perfect attendance awards and two Most Outstanding awards from BOCES.

As a member of the National Technical Honors Society, Nadya has also competed in SkillsUSA welding competitions, placing 4th out of 14 competitors. Her leadership skills have earned her the distinction of being selected as a student ambassador at BOCES, a role in which she has led impressive welding projects including creating a motorcycle sidecar, welding a 10-foot dump trailer, and crafting holiday decorations for the community.

Beyond her technical expertise and academic pursuits, Nadya is a well-rounded individual with diverse interests. Her favorite subject is psychology, and outside of school, she works at Tim Hortons while spending her free time painting and creating small projects to give to others. Nadya is a devoted family member who enjoys attending Buffalo Bandits games and other sporting events with her loved ones.

As Nadya looks toward the future, she plans to attend Ohio Technical College in August to further her education in welding. After completing college, she hopes to establish her welding career in Georgia.
