The Dunkirk Police Department is investigating two robberies that occurred on Tuesday and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

The first robbery occurred at approximately 1:16 p.m. at the Family Dollar Store located at 168 East Fourth St. The second robbery occurred approximately 20 minutes later, at 1:37 p.m., at Crosby Mart, located at 106 Central Ave.

Investigators believe both robberies were committed by the same individual. Surveillance images of the suspect at both stores has been released in an effort to identify the person. In both cases the suspect claimed to have had a firearm, although none was displayed.
