New trustee named for Fredonia

Timothy Mulholland

The Fredonia Board of Trustees has quietly named Timothy Mulholland to fill its fifth seat.

The board slipped a 4-0 approval of Mulholland into Monday’s workshop. Trustees had no public debate or comment about the open seat, created by the resignation of Jon Espersen.

The agenda item for adding Mulholland stated that the board interviewed candidates for the vacant position. Mayor Michael Ferguson called Mulholland “a marketing expert” who works for Rich Products in Buffalo.

Mulholland’s LinkedIn page indicates he has worked at Rich for 2 ½ years and was recently promoted. He also has local work experience at Chautauqua Institution’s Chautauqua Foundation and the Zippo lighter company in Bradford, Pa.

The page shows he is currently studying for a master’s degree in applied ontology at the University of Buffalo.

Mulholland’s seat won’t come up for election again until 2029, according to the “Officials” page on the village of Fredonia website.

Starting at $4.00/week.
