STOCKTON — Seymour Library in the town is celebrating the Summer Reading Kick Off on Saturday.

Come hungry for ice cream sundaes and explore the Chautuauqua County Sheriff’s Swat Team. Members of the team with one of their vehicles will be there to answer your questions and explain what they do — the ultimate show and tell.

This free event is sponsored by King Kone and clerk Eileen Campbell and her husband Don, all of whom provided ice cream and those necessary toppings that make a sundae worthwhile. Ice cream will be dished out starting at noon in the front yard and the Swat Team will take over the back parking lot at 1 p.m.

Everyone can sign up for Summer Reading at the event! This year’s topic is Unearth A Story – relating to Dinosaurs and archeology. Collect dinosaur trading cards when you read. There are many dinosaur related events planned, including making your own fossils after a show and tell by the RTPI at Seymour Stockton on July 23 at 1 p.m.
