Amherst man facing rape charges in Fredonia case

An Amherst man, formerly of Fredonia is facing second-degree rape charges after he allegedly engaged in sexual contact with a 13-year-old female.

The charges, by the Fredonia Police Department, were announced following an investigation that alleges Hayden J. Burrows, 22, was with the victim. In addition, he was charged on Aug. 18 with endangering the welfare of a child.

Burrows was processed at Fredonia Police Department and subsequently transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) proceedings. He will answer the charges at a later date in Chautauqua County Court.
