History has been made at the Brocton Central School District following a landmark announcement by the National Association of Educational Office Professionals (NAEOP). In an unprecedented national dual achievement, Superintendent Jason Delcamp and Confidential Secretary Ashley Means, CEOE, have both been selected as top national award recipients for 2026.
Means, who also serves as District Clerk of the Brocton Central School District, was named the recipient of the 2026 Olive T. Ritchie Educational Office Professional of the Year. Nominated for the award by the Chautauqua County Association of Educational Office Professionals (CCAEOP), Means was commended by her colleagues for her exceptional professionalism, compassion, and tireless work ethic, serving as a vital cornerstone of the school community.
Delcamp earned national distinction as the 2026 Educational Administrator of the Year. Nominated by the New York State Association of Educational Office Professionals (NYSAEOP), Delcamp was recognized for his steadfast support of educational office staff, his emphasis on continuous professional growth, and his exemplary leadership.
This dual recognition carries historic weight, as Delcamp and Means are the first individuals from New York state to win these prestigious national awards since their inception in 1973. Furthermore, this marks the first time in the 53-year history of the awards that an administrator and a secretary from the same school district have received both honors in the same year.
Delcamp and Means were formally presented with their awards in Portland, Ore., on Tuesday, July 14, during the Annual NAEOP Conference. Standing before peers and educational leaders from across the nation, their recognition highlighted the remarkable talent and dedication housed within the Brocton Central School District.
Following the ceremony, both honorees expressed profound gratitude to their families for their unwavering love and support. They also extended sincere appreciation to the Brocton Central School District, the Board of Education, CCAEOP, NYSAEOP, and NAEOP for their ongoing guidance and partnership throughout their careers.
