A gala to benefit Northern Chautauqua Catholic School takes place Aug. 29.

Northern Chautauqua Catholic School invites the community to step back into the glamour and excitement of the Roaring '20s for its Third Annual Fundraising Gala, "The Great Gatsby," on Saturday, Aug. 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the historic Dunkirk Lighthouse & Veterans Park Museum, 1 Lighthouse Point Drive, Dunkirk.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of Lake Erie, this year's gala promises an unforgettable summer evening filled with live entertainment, dancing, a silent auction, delicious cocktails, and catering by Duper's, all while raising critical funds for the future of Northern Chautauqua Catholic School.

Guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the evening and come ready to celebrate Gatsby-style!

Tickets are $125 per person, or guests can gather friends, family, or colleagues and reserve a table of eight for $900. All proceeds from the evening will directly benefit Northern Chautauqua Catholic School and its students.

The story of Northern Chautauqua Catholic School is deeply woven into the history of the Dunkirk-Fredonia community. For generations, Catholic education in Northern Chautauqua County has provided children with an education grounded in academic excellence, faith, character, service, creativity, and a strong sense of family and community.

Today, NCCS proudly carries that tradition forward as the last remaining Catholic school in Chautauqua County, welcoming children and families from communities throughout the region.

As NCCS enters the 2026-27 school year, the school is also beginning an exciting new chapter.

This year represents an opportunity for renewal, growth, and a fresh start for NCCS -- one that honors the school's rich history while looking boldly toward its future. At a time when families are searching for educational environments that best meet the individual needs of their children, NCCS remains committed to ensuring that families throughout Chautauqua County continue to have meaningful educational choices.

Preserving that choice, however, takes a community.

The continued success of Northern Chautauqua Catholic School cannot rest on the shoulders of its families and faculty alone. Its future depends upon a community that believes children deserve choices, that local institutions are worth preserving, and that investing in education is an investment in the future of Chautauqua County.

Every ticket purchased, every table filled, every auction bid placed, and every contribution made helps keep the doors of NCCS open for the next generation of students.

The Third Annual Fundraising Gala is more than a fundraiser. It is a celebration of where NCCS has been, a declaration of confidence in where it is going, and an invitation for the entire community to become part of its next chapter.

Whether you are an NCCS parent, alumnus, local business owner, former student, supporter of Catholic education, or simply someone who believes in preserving educational opportunities for local children, you are invited to be part of this important evening.

Tickets may be purchased at the Holy Trinity Central Office, the Northern Chautauqua Catholic School Central Office, or by emailing NCCSgala@gmail.com.
