Jamestown man found with crack cocaine, charged

A Jamestown man faces drug charges after a search warrant was executed on North Main Street on Thursday morning.

Joel I. Rosario-Negron, 44, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia at 6:10 a.m. Thursday.

According to a police report, narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and Jamestown Police Department executed a search warrant at 1107 N. Main St., Jamestown, with Jamestown Police SWAT making entry into the house.

Located inside the residence was Joel I. Rosario-Negron. As a result of the search of the residence investigators reportedly seized 24.7 grams of crack cocaine, scales and packaging material used for the sale and distribution of narcotics and $1,400. Rosario-Negron was taken to the Jamestown City Jail until he could be arraigned in Jamestown City Court.
