Pagano family reunion marks 70 years

The 70th Pagano Family Reunion was held on Saturday, July 25, at Willow Creek Winery with 143 people in attendance. It was a sunny, warm and beautiful day and the festivities began with a welcome and blessing given by Paul Carlson.
As always, there were theme basket raffles, white elephant raffles, and a big 50/25/25 raffle. The Mendez Family kept the kids busy with games and prizes. A catered meal was provided by Sunset Bay Restaurant, complemented by many family-provided desserts. The traditional and highly competitive horseshoe tournament, organized by Bruce Valvo, saw a new champion team of Will Pagano and his uncle John Pagano. Second place winners were Max Davis and Alex Valenzuela.
Michael T. Pagano served as emcee for the formal portion of the reunion. During this time, recognition and prizes were given out to various attendees. Bev Pagano was recognized for the first reservation, Kristine Caine for the second, and John and Joy Judski for the third. Joe Bifaro was the oldest male in attendance. The oldest female in attendance was Anita Pagano. The youngest baby at the reunion was Beau Weber. The relative who traveled the farthest was Andrew Pagano, coming in from the Gulf of Oman.
The family acknowledged the passing of several family members over the past year with a moment of silence. On a happy note, the group acknowledged the milestone of 50 years of marriage for Joe and Kathy Dolce, as well as Dick and Kathy Dolce. Mike and Kim Caine celebrated 30 years of marriage. And Noah and Melina Restivo celebrated one year of marriage on that day. The family also celebrated the engagements of Liz Valvo to Bill, as well as Mikala Valenzuela to Dawson.
Many thanks were given to Joe and Kathy Dolce and their daughter Lauren for organizing the reunion. This is a huge undertaking, and their efforts are greatly appreciated. Thanks also to Mike and Jenn Pagano for organizing the food, Lauren Dolce for organizing the theme basket raffles, the Bowers Family for filling in wherever needed, and to all those who arrived early to set up and stayed to clean up. This reunion would not be possible without help from so many!
All attendees enjoyed a wonderful time together, treasuring the moments spent with family from near and far. Thanks to all those who attended and made this such a fun event!
Plans are already underway for the 71st Pagano Family Reunion to be held on Saturday, July 31, 2027.
