JAMESTOWN — A 33-year-old Pennsylvania woman is facing second-degree assault charges after striking a Jamestown police officer.
Jamestown Police report Eve A. Yea, 33, was additionally charged with obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.
At approximately 2:34 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to the area of downtown for a unwanted female. The female, Yea, was attempting to hit the windows of a business with a large rock. When officers attempted to intervene Yea failed to comply with lawful commands.
Yea was then placed into custody at which point she resisted arrest and assaulted an officer. Yea was transported to the Jamestown City Jail where she was held pending arraignment.
