Sons of Liberty, events raise $5,500 for Disabled American Veterans

The Sons of Liberty recently had its 12th annual Disabled Americans Veterans Run, which assists veterans in our area. The Sons of Liberty would like to thank all the riders who attended. Joe and Ranee Granada, who gave so much help along with all others at the Sheridan VFW. Also, Greg and Wendy Irish who had their third annual dice run to benefit local veterans out of the American Legion Post 434 in Brocton, who donated $2,567 to bring our total to $5,567.
“We would like to thank some of the businesses and people who donated to our cause, like Dunkirk American Legion Post 62, Fredonia American Legion Post 59, Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club, the Dom Polski Club, the Moniuszko Club, the World War II Vets Club, the First Ward Falcons Club, Nickerson's Auto Care, the Nickle Plate Depot, Pattons Home Furnishings, The Power Shop, Greg Frazita, Steve and Lew Milliman and so many more that we would have to take out five pages in the OBSERVER to list them all,” the Sons of Liberty noted.
“So please, for those of you who we did not mention, thank you so much! And a special thanks to the Brocton-Portland Fire Department, The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department and the Fredonia Police Department. Because of great community support we are able to make a wonderful contribution to our veterans.
