The Fredonia Presbyterian Church's annual Fill the Fred Basket food drive is happening now.
The drive kicked off this week and runs through Monday. It supplies the church's Fred Basket food pantry.
Non-perishable food items such as canned goods can be dropped off at more than 90 collection points around the community. Fredonia Mayor Michael Ferguson mentioned that one collection point is in the lobby of Village Hall.
The Fred Basket, located at 219 Central Ave., serves more than 175 Fredonia Central School District families. It's open every Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and every third Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. until noon.
