Riles & Woolley Funeral Home is there for you

Editor’s note: This article was written in February 2020, before the passing of Warren Riles. Riles and Woolley decided to keep the article like it was and not make any changes.

Riles & Woolley Funeral Home is located at 39 Main Street, Forestville. The Funeral Directors are Warren H. Riles, CFSP & Mark L. Woolley. They are licensed to practice in both New York State & Pennsylvania. They are members of the Chautauqua County Funeral Directors Association, the New York State Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association.

The funeral home is currently in its 50th year of ownership by Warren H. Riles, and Mark Woolley has been a licensed funeral director with the funeral home for 30 years.

The funeral home has been independently owned & operated since its inception in 1927. The funeral home was founded by Franklin Philbrick, who operated it as Philbrick & Philbrick Funeral Chapel. Warren Riles purchased the funeral home in 1970 and Mark Woolley became partial owner in 2002. In 2001, Warren completed two large additions and a complete renovation of the funeral home. This project included creating a grand foyer, with a handicap ramp and extra deep handicap steps, along with having up to three viewing chapels, handicap bathrooms with changing tables, having one of the largest capacity viewing rooms in Chautauqua County (135 people), larger off-street parking, heated sidewalks and they recently added a two-person mortuary cooler.

To better serve our families, as a member of Preplan, they do specialize in arranging pre-arranged funeral trusts. This allows people to select the type of funeral service they would like to have, select the merchandise they prefer, have their information on record with the funeral home and we can make the account Irrevocable to accommodate Medicaid requirements, if needed.

If you are interested in more information or setting up a prearranged account, give them a call at 965-2941. To view their website go to www.rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com. Here you can view current and archived funerals, leave condolences for families and print a form for making prearrangements.
