Charles J. Elsner
Charles J. Elsner, 74, of Ruggles Street, Dunkirk, NY, formerly of New York City, died Sunday (April 14, 2013) at Brooks Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 23, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late John and Eleanor (Ruppert) Elsner.
A resident of New York City for most of his life, Mr. Elsner had resided in Dunkirk for the past nine years. He was a former employee of Nestle’s Purina. He served in the U.S. Military from 1956-1958.
Surviving are his wife, Diane (Hada) Elsner and his son, Jonathan Elsner, both of Dunkirk; and three sisters, Eleanor Elsner of Florida, Barbara Elsner of New York City and Katherine Skeffington of Florida.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, John Elsner Jr.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-5 p.m. at the Newman Funeral Home Inc. Private interment will be at the convenience of the family.
