Mary Jean Husch

Mary Jean Husch, 90, of Dunkirk died Wednesday

(May 7, 2014) at the Chautauqua County Home following a lengthy illness.

She was born Oct. 14, 1923 in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Arthur and Mina (Aitken) Wilson.

A lifelong Dunkirk resident, Mrs. Husch was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dunkirk.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and working on puzzles.

Survivors include her husband, Richard J. Husch, whom she married Nov. 16, 1946; two daughters, Gail Husch and Nancy (Peter) Meister, both of Hamburg; one son, David Husch of Vestal; six grandchildren, Lindsay (Richard) Kraft, Jeffrey Klaus, Christine Meister, Hayley Meister, Joel Husch, and Andrew Husch; son-in-law, Richard M. Klaus; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sally Klaus; her brother, William Wilson; and her sister, Nora Weller.

Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family. Burial was in Willowbrook Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, WNY Chapter, 2805 Wehrle Dr STE 6, Williamsville, NY 14221-7380.
