Daniel D. Schultz
Daniel D. “Papa” Schultz, 71, of Elyria, formerly of North Ridgeville, died April 13, 2015 at his home after a 6-month battle with cancer.
He was born September 6, 1943 in Cheektowaga, NY and was a resident of Dunkirk, NY before moving to North Ridgeville and finally Elyria in 1998. Dan was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served during the Korean Conflict and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and sports and especially watching his grandkids play sports. He was a member of South Shore Rod and Gun Club, Dunkirk, NY and an associate member of the Conservation Club. He was employed with Comat Inc., Blanchester, OH for nearly 20 years, retiring in 2005 as a sales rep.
Dan is survived by his wife of 48 years Terrie J. (nee Green); daughters Dawn Schultz and Kim Schultz, both of Elyria and Jodi (Frank) Virzi of Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren Devin, Jarred, Haley, Danielle, Alyssa and Adriana; great-granddaughter Abriella and a sister Connie Prior of Kenmore, NY.
He was preceded in death by 9 siblings and his parents Orlo and Helen Schultz.
There will be a celebration of life service for Dan Saturday, April 18, 2015 beginning at 2 p.m. at 553 Case Ave., Elyria, OH 44035.
