Patricia D. Tofil
Patricia D. Tofil, age 77, of Sheridan, NY, died Wednesday morning at her residence after an extended illness.
She was born in Dunkirk on December 4, 1938, the daughter of the late Joseph and Emily (Kozlowski) Malkowski.
A lifelong Dunkirk resident, Mrs. Tofil was a retired employee of SUNY Fredonia.
She was a member of Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish.
Surviving are her husband, Anthony J. “Jim” Tofil, whom she married on January 12, 1957; her children, Gale (Dana) Ver Hague of Forestville, NY, James (Ann) Tofil of Sheridan, NY and Paula (Brian Pusch) Tofil of East Aurora, NY; her grandsons, Nicholas (Melissa) Ver Hague and Nathan Ver Hague; and her sister, Natalie Luce of Blue Ridge, Georgia. Nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Timothy Paul Tofil, who died March 10, 1975 and her brother, Donald Malkowski.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held Friday, February 26, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish – St. Hedwig’s Worship Site. Private interment will be in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. There will be no prior visitation. Flowers gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to HOSPICE, Chautauqua County, 20 W. Fairmont Ave., Lakewood, NY 14650. Arrangements by the Newman Funeral Home, Inc.
