Dr. John Patrickson Shutt
Dr. John Patrickson Shutt, age 86, formerly of Dunkirk, NY died Saturday, April 16, 2016 in Conway, Arkansas where he was recently residing. He was born in Durham, England on October 16,
1929, the son of the late Joseph Fitzgerald and Olive (Warre) Shutt. A graduate of the Edinborough Medical College in Scotland, Dr. Shutt was the Pathologist at Brooks Memorial and Westfield Memorial Hospitals until his retirement in 1991. He is survived by his son, John Shutt Jr. of Conway, AR; his daughters, Pamela Shutt Keller of Sterling, NJ, Deborah J. Shutt of Port Chester, NY and Allison K. Shutt of
Conway, AR; and his former wife of 33 years, Joyce (Nikitas) O’Connell-Shutt of Fredonia. Ten grandchildren also survive. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by two brothers, Frank and Arnold
Shutt; and one grandchild. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Local arrangements by the Newman Funeral Home, Inc.
