Raymond C. Bartholomew

He was reunited with his daughter Kelly, brother Bruce, sister Mary Lou and his parents. Ray was 72 years old.

Ray was born June 1, 1944 in Quaker Bridge, NY. He was the son of Emery and Marian (Bromley) Bartholomew.

Ray married his high school sweetheart, the former Linda E. Blesy, on November 23, 1963 at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Gowanda. Linda survives.

Ray was a selfemployed woodworker/cabinetmaker, a trade that has continued in the family through his son.

Surviving, besides his wife of nearly 53 years, are his two daughters, Kimberly L. (Daniel) Tebo of Economy, Ind. and Krissy (Daniel) Smith of Collins; and a son, Kevin H. Bartholomew of Collins. He has 10 beautiful grandchildren, Daniel (wife Hilary) Tebo, Joshua, Shelbi, Amy, Cole, Denver, Cassidy, Austyn, Hudson and Sydney; and Ray’s blessings multiplied with four great grandchildren, Karter, Logan, Savannah and Kooper. Ray is also survived by a brother, David (Barbara) Bartholomew of West Seneca; along with several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly R. Bartholomew, who passed away January 8, 2004; a brother, Bruce (wife Genevieve survives) Bartholomew; and a sister, Mary Lou (late Donald) Hubbard.

A Celebration of Ray’s life will take place Sunday, November 20, 2016 at noon. It will be held at the Gowanda Assembly of God Church, 78 Allen St., with the Gowanda Rev. David Gabel officiating. Ray donated his body to the UB Medical program and will be laid to rest with his daughter Kelly in the Jolls Road Cemetery at a later date.
