Donald R. Veloski

He was born June 2, 1934 in Gowanda, NY, the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Mosney) Veloski.

Mr. Veloski is survived by his loving wife, Marie (Mezzio) Veloski.

He was a veteran of the US Army and was em-ployed as a steamfitter with Local #395 for over 40 years. He was a lifetime member of St. Joseph’s RC Church in Gowanda, and was also a member of the Gowanda Moose Club and the Slovenian Club, and a past member of the Gowan-da Vol. Fire Dept. Mr. Veloski was a longtime bowler of over 50 years and had a 200 average. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Besides his loving wife, he is survived by two sons, John (Celeste) Veloski of Penfield, NY and Donald (Denise) Veloski of Collins, NY; a daughter, Rose Han-ington of Lakeside, CA; and five grandchildren, Rebecca and Matthew Hanington, Christina Veloski, and Joshua and Dayna Veloski; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 105 East Main Street in Gowanda, NY on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 24 and 68 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph’s RC Church in Gowanda, NY. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Gowanda.
