Joseph C. Triaga

Joseph was born August 17, 1933 in Silver Creek to Charles A. and Rose (nee Castrogiovanni) Triaga.

He graduated from Dunkirk High School, Class of 1951. Joseph served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952- 1956 as a First Class Airman stationed at the Oxnard Air Force Base in California, the Mitchell Air Force Base on Long Island and he also served in Saudi Arabia. Joseph worked at Excelco, Al Tech and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Silver Creek. On August 23, 1969 he married his loving and devoted wife of over 37 years Margaret “Peggy” Persch Triaga.

He is survived by six children, Joseph Triaga, of Fredonia N.Y., Denise (Glen) Klotz, of Borger, TX., Patricia Newberry, of Silver Creek, N.Y., Robert (Donna) Murray, of Sinclairville, N.Y., Trish Triaga, of Williamston, N.C., and Daniel (Lee) Triaga, of Augusta, GA.; a brother, Charles (Jaye) Triaga, of the Villages, FL; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his parents, wife, a son, Michael A. Triaga, a brother, Samuel Triaga and grandson, David J. Wilkes.

Calls may be made today from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at the LARSON- TIMKO Funeral Home, 20 Central Avenue, Fredonia, N.Y.. where funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11 a.m with Father Dan Walsh officiating.

A private family interment will be at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial contributions in Joseph’s memory may be made to Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care, 20 W. Fairmount Avenue. Lakewood, New York 14750.
