Michelle Lynn Pekarski, 51, of Portland, NY, formerly of Falconer passed away Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2017) in UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA due to pancreatic cancer.
A lifelong area resident she was born June 20, 1966 in Jamestown, the daughter of Frank and Jennie “Jane” Traniello Pekarski.
Michelle was a graduate of Falconer High School and SUNY Fredonia with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice. She was currently employed by Buffalo Psychiatric, Waterfront Center in Celoron and formerly employed by The Resource Center.
She was member of the Portland Vol. Fire Department serving as EMT, St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Lakewood Rod & Gun Club and the Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glenn, NY.
Michelle enjoyed her children, work, loved her cats, reading and dining out.
Surviving are three sons: Jacob Timmerman of Colorado Springs, CO, Joshua Timmerman (Carolyn Laurenzi) of Dunkirk, Jordan Timmerman of Portland, NY; her parents Frank and Jane Pekarski of Falconer; her longtime companion Jim Bianchine of Cincinnati, OH; and two brothers: Bruce (Laura) Pekarski of Tampa, FL, Lucas (Kate) Pekarski of Washington, DC.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Mary Johnson, Pat Traniello, Gertrude and Verdun Sandell, Frank Pekarski Sr.
The family will accept friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 in the Falconer Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at noon on Saturday in the funeral home. The Rev. Timothy Phelps will officiate. Inurnment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer.
