Joyce R. Schultz, born April 28, 1926, passed away December 9, 2017 at Elderwood at Williamsville. She was 91 years old.
Born to Reynold Johnson and Ruby Anderson Johnson in Jamestown, NY. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Roland W. Schultz, whom she married on July 1, 1950. He passed away on September 18, 2000.
She was also predeceased by her sister, Shirley Lawson, infant brother, Jerome Johnson, and a grandson, Darin Schultz.
Surviving are her children Kenneth (Pamela) Schultz of Pt. Charlotte, FL., Darrell Schultz of Jamestown, Marlene (Donald) Murphy of Winter Springs, Florida, Karen Schultz of Jamestown, and Dianne Ulrich of Lancaster, NY. She is also survived by her Grandchildren Spencer and Dillon Ulrich, Brian and Neil Murphy, and Heidi McIntee, and Great Grandchildren Dylan and Colin McIntee, Samantha Schultz and Alexander Murphy.
Joyce was an artist, Homemaker and avid reader of books of Art and Science.
She lived in the Western NY area all her life, and lived the past 7 years with her daughter, Dianne Ulrich, in Lancaster before moving into Elderwood at Williamsville in June 2017.
Joyce has gifted her body to the State University of New York at Buffalo, Medical and Biomedical Sciences.
There will be a Celebration of Her Life on Saturday, December 16 at 4 p.m., at the home of her Daughter, Dianne Ulrich, in Lancaster, NY.
