Carmelia “Carm” Millonzi Lucia, 93, a lifelong resident of Cleveland Ave., Fredonia passed away the morning of Feb. 28, 2018 surrounded by her family.

She was born May 21, 1924 in Fredonia, the daughter of the late Augustine and Charles Mancuso.

Carm was a graduate of Fredonia High School, Class of 1942. After graduation she worked as a legal secretary, later in life she was employed by Fredonia High School working in the cafeteria.

In 1949 she married Ross J. Millonzi and gave birth to three daughters; Karen (John) Ryder, Lynn (Howdy) Marsh and Jane (Douglas) Kaltenbach. She devoted her time to raising their daughters, for throughout her life devotion to family was upmost.

In 1981 her husband Ross passed away. In 1986 she married Albert Lucia who passed away in 1989.

Carm was a lifetime member of St. Anthony’s Church in Fredonia. She enjoyed traveling in the 50’s and 60’s. The family traveled throughout the US in their camper and many fond memories were made.

Later in life the annual trip to New Smyrna Beach in Florida with her children and grandchildren was a wonderful time for all. Besides traveling Carm was a great cook, loved playing cards and bingo and having lunch with her girl friends. St. Josephs Table was an especially proud meal she hosted for decades and all savored her Italian specialties and the tradition she carried on. Carm was a warm generous woman.

In addition to her three daughters, she is survived by one sister, Kathy (Bill) Hart; six grandchildren, Kyle (Shawn) Huestis, Collin (Fielding) Ryder, Todd (Chrissy) Marsh, Scott (Jessica) Marsh, Joel (Jamie) Marsh and Olivia Kaltenbach; and four great grandchildren, Marlo Huestis, Lauren Marsh, Carter Marsh, and Colton Marsh; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Joe Mancuso; and her sister, Frances (Nelson) Maggio.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
