Rod Alexander Sysol

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert H, Sysol, brother Robert C. Sysol and step father James McIlvain.

He is survived by his sons, Brandon Sysol, Buford; Nikolas Sysol and finance, Stephanie Soto, and grandson Elliot Adam Sysol, Flowery Branch, GA; Mother, Patricia Sysol, Dunkirk, N.Y.; brother and sister in laws Randy and Nancy Sysol, San Diego, CA; Scott and MaryPia Sysol, Crystal Lake, IL; sisters Shari Sysol-Alongi, Suzanne and Mike Kingery, Flowery Branch, GA; James M. McIlvain Jr., Cape Cod, MA; Lynn Marie McIlvain, Syracuse, NY and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Sysol was born July 9, 1958 in Dunkirk, NY. He was a graduate of Dunkirk Senior High School.

His sales career began at his grandfathers furniture and appliance store, Adam’s Home Furnishings, and he moved on to selling campers and RV’s, where he won several awards for top salesperson.

He also loved riding his Harley Davidson. He was a snow skiing instructor for years, and loved hitting the slopes whenever he had the chance. He also loved to garden and cook, and enjoyed spoiling all cats.

A memorial service will be held in Dunkirk in August. An announcement will be made closer to the event. He will be greatly missed by everyone he met, but most especially his loving family.
