GOWANDA — Samuel D. Castellano, age 77, of Frederick Street, passed away at home surrounded by family early Monday morning May 21, 2018.Sam was born November 12, 1940 the son of Samuel S. and Mariam Castellano.Survivors include his wife, the former Carla Orth, children; Douglas (Joan) Castellano of Angola, Samuel (Pam) Castellano of South Dayton, Tonya (Michael) Crouse of Gowanda and Ryan (Ashley Jadlowski) Castellano also of Gowanda. Fifteen grandchildren 23 great- grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews also survive.Besides his parents Sam was preceded in death by three sisters JoAnne Castellano Harper, Sandra Castellano and Barbara Castellano.Friends may call at the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME, 44 Center St, Gowanda 532-4200 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 p.m. on Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Saturday May 26, 2018 at 11 a.m. from the St. Joseph’s RC Church East Main St. Gowanda (please assemble at church) Interment to follow in the Collins Center Cemetary.Memorials may be made to the NYSP Signal 30 Police Benevolent fund by going to Signal30.org or you can contact the funeral home.
