Archie E. Beckman

Mr. Beckman married the former Barbara McCadden who survives.

Archie worked for many years for the Town of Leon’s highway department and owned his own dairy farm, The Beckmanor, in Leon. He operated his own bulldozing and trucking as well as hauled milk for R & L Smith Trucking and also worked in the Carnation Milk Plant in South Dayton.

When he was younger, Archie showed horses at various area shows and grew to become a huge outdoorsman, loving fishing and hunting. He also sang and entertained with Sally Marsh and Kane Smith throughout the area for many years.

Besides his loving wife, Mr. Beckman is survived by a daughter, Darcy Beckman of Stow, OH, a sister-in-law, Karen Beckman, a niece, Vickie and her husband Tim, a niece Sandra, and a nephew Michael and his wife Nancy.

Besides his parents, Mr. Beckman is predeceased by his step-mother, Grace Beckman, and brother, Ronald Beckman.

Friends may call on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc. 411 Rock City St. in Little Valley, NY.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at 11 am from the funeral home.

Burial will be in Treat Memorial Cemetery in Leon, NY.
