Charles F. “Chuck” Hudson
Charles F. “Chuck” Hudson, 77 of Annville, PA passed away Sunday June 3, 2018 under the care of hospice.
Born July 24, 1940 in Dunkirk, NY, he was the son of the late Robert and Ruth (Winch) Hudson.
Chuck was a graduate of Dunkirk High School. Upon graduation Chuck attended the University of Buffalo and served his country by doing a tour of duty in the National Guard.
He was employed at Al Tech Specialty Steel for 30 years and retired at age 52
where he embarked on a 25 year life of retirement filled with winters in Florida and summers at their cottage at Van Buren Point.
Chuck enjoyed golf and playing cards, and his special blended happy hour “martoonies.” In his younger years he played city league basketball and softball, being the first player to hit a softball out of Promenschenkel Stadium. Chuck was a member of Elks Lodge #922 and the First Ward Falcon Club.
Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Carole (Whitehead) Hudson; daughter Susan (Tony) Paden, sons Timothy Hudson and Thomas (Trisha) Hudson; grandchildren, Brian (Tiffany) Lewis, Brittany Lewis, Trevor Hudson, and Tyler Hudson; Brother Lawrence (Patty) Hudson and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by an infant brother William C. Hudson.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. It is requested
that Memorial contributions be made to the Resource Center, 200 Dunham Ave.Jamestown NY 14701.
