Eleanor G. Goggin

Eleanor G. Goggin, 98, of Dunkirk, died Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Center.She was born December 14, 1919, in Dunkirk, daughter of the late Peter and Pauline (Brant) Smith.Owner of the former Bomber House in Fredonia. Her memberships include St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R.C. Church, East Dunkirk Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Auxiliary Knights of St. St. John, Dunkirk and Fredonia Grandmothers Club.Survivors include her daughter Sharon (Gary) Klaybor of Myrtle Beach, SC, Son in law Peter Fote of Port St. Lucy, FL, daughter in law Bonnie Goggin of Gurnee,IL, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive.Preceded in death in addition to her parents are her husband Patrick L. Goggin who Died November 18, 1997, son Pa-trick Goggin, Paula Fote, brothers Frank Smith, Leonard “Nick” Smith, Leo Smith, Michael Smith, sisters Pauline Locker, Anna Meyers, Gertrude Sulivan, Margaret Ann Smith, Hermina Reynolds, Helen Draggett.Relatives and friends are welcome to call on Wednes-day from 5-8 p.m. at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street in Dunkirk. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 8 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R.C. Church and entombment will be in the Assumption Mausoleum in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
