Frances Betty Foster 89, long time resident of Silver Creek passed away on May 16, 2018 in Rapid City, SD.Fran was born July 7, 1928 in Altoona, PA to Joseph and Catherine Sharer. Sharing duties in raising Fran was Helen Hockenberry. In 1951 she married Richard G Foster SR. Together they had two children Richard G Foster JR and Debbie Foster.Later Fran moved to Silver Creek and worked at Brooks Memorial Hospital
in Dunkirk and retired from Rem-Tronics in Silver Creek. She was a social member of the VFW and Firehouse in Silver Creek. She lived in Silver Creek for over 40 years. In June 2016, she made the big move to the Midwest to be closer to her son Rick and his wife Donna. She loved spending time on the deck bird watching and holding the boys, Reggie and Cabo her furry grandkids. Fran was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mim. brother Joe, daughter Debbie, and long-time friend Trudy RisleyFran is survived by her son Richard G Foster Jr (wife Donna) of Black Hawk, SD and Grandson Grant R Foster of Sioux Falls, SD.A memorial service will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church, Porter ST. Silver Creek, NY on June 30 at 11:00 AM to celebrate Fran’s life. A coffee service to follow.Private burial at Erie County Memorial Gardens, Erie, PA
