SHERIDAN: Richard W. Walker, 91, of Center Road, Forestville, died Sunday, June 24th, 2018, at his residence, following a short illness. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 3, 1927, the son of the late Earl E. and Margueriete (Lanning) Walker.

Mr. Walker was a graduate of Dunkirk High School, Class of 1945 and served in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman 1st Class during WW II. He was the owner of Walker’s Wine Juice, Forestville. Mr. Walker attended both the Forestville United Methodist Church, Forestville, and Family Church.

Survivors include two sons Richard A. (Tammie) Walker, and James E. (Susan) Walker, both of Sheridan. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Florajane (Young) Walker, whom he married on October 30, 1946 in the First United Methodist Church, Dunkirk and who died October 8, 2004, and by 2 brothers John & Robert Walker.

Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o’clock from the Forestville United Methodist Church, 3 Park Street, Forestville, with Pastor Mike Anderson, of Family Church of Cattaraugus County, officiating. Interment will follow in Sheridan Center Cemetery, Town of Sheridan.
