Susan O. Roberts (O’Neil)

She was born October 13, 1940 in Erie, PA, a daughter of the late Anne and Eldon O’Neil.

A former Westfield resident, Susan graduated from Westfield Academy and Central School in 1958. She graduated from Erie County Community College in 1960, with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She married William M. Roberts on November 17, 1962 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Westfield, NY.

Susan worked as a Dental Hygienist for Dr. Jerome Scholl, of Westfield, NY, for over 30 years.

She had many interests throughout the course of her life; including being a member of the gourmet club, garden club, home bureau and the Altar Guild at Trinity Episcopal Church. She loved cooking, shopping, tennis and gardening. She enjoyed her retirement years where she traveled extensively, and had many wonderful winters at her winter home in Fort Myers, FL. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, William M. Roberts; daughter, Elizabeth (Dennis) Ko of Syosset, NY, and son, Tyler Roberts of Redondo Beach, CA; grandchildren, Carolyn and Landon Ko. She is also survived by one sister; Peggy Schmidt, of Fort Myers, FL, two brothers; Eldon O’Neil of Clancy, MT, and Eric O’Neil of Westfield, NY, as well as a niece and a nephew.

There will be a Christian church service with family and friends at Trinity Episcopal Church, Friday, 11 Day Street, Fredonia, N.Y. July 20, 2018 at 11 a.m.

There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by David J. Dengler, LARSON-TIMKO Funeral Home. If desired, memorials may be made to local charities of one’s choice.
