Doris Amy Kightlinger

Doris Amy Kightlinger, 77, of Sheridan, formerly of Gerry, passed away Sat. Aug. 25, 2018 at Brooks Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 14, 1941 in Cory, PA a daughter of the late Art Amy and Mable Howard. She was a Chautauqua County resident most of her life.In her earlier years Doris was employed at Heritage Village and was also very active with volunteer work at the Dunkirk Food Pantry, the Garment Gallery, Dunkirk and Roswell Park, Buffalo. Doris enjoyed gardening, feeding and watching birds, helping people in need and was a loving mother, grand and great-mother who was “sassy’ and instilled strong, loving family values.Companion of the late William Kardysauskas; Mother of Victoria Ehmke of Cassadaga, Amy (Robert) McGowan of Sheridan, Angela (Jerry Andress) Hughes of Liberty, TX, Scott (Diana) Krzyzanowski of Liberty, TX, Tracie (Guy) DeMotte of Ashville; grandmother of 14; great-grandmother of 15; sister of Walter Amy of Fredonia, Sandy (Dennis) Lott of PA and the late Raymond, Betty, Robert, Shirley, Gwendolyn, Harold, William and Ronald. Also survived by nieces and nephews.Funeral services 11 a.m. today in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville with visitation one hour prior to the service.
