MAYVILLE — Charles “Chuck” Leon Maytum, 77, of Mayville, died on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at his home.He was born March 28, 1941 in Plankington, SD, the son of the late Charles and Zona Kieffer Maytum.Chuck was self-employed

for 53 years. He had been the owner of AA Recycling in Mayville. Before that he was the previous owner of

A Automotive in Mayville, as well as a previous owner of Davies Lookout Restaurant.He was a member of the Labor Union Local 600, The Mayville American Legion, William L. Travis Post 493, The Westfield Moose Lodge 118, and was a former member of the Dewittville Fire Department. Chuck enjoyed working, collecting El Camino cars, and time with his family,

especially his grandson, Kole, whose interests he followed closely.He is survived by his wife; Roxanna Arnold Maytum, whom he married on August 28, 1965 in Dewittville, NY, his son; Kevin (Lorrie) Maytum of Mayville, a grandson; Kole

Maytum of California, PA, a brother; Kenneth “Bud” Maytum of Virginia, and several nieces and nephews.Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Larry Maytum, and one sister; Sharon Quiggens.The funeral will be held on at 11AM on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville. The Rev. Timothy Phelps will officiate. Burial

will be in the Dewittville cemetery.The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service (10-11AM) at
