cancer.A lifelong area resident he was born July 25, 1945 in Dunkirk, NY, the son of the late Joseph A. and Lucile Kelley Smith.Bob was a 1964 graduate of Cassadaga Valley High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from 1964 to 1968. In earlier years Bob was employed by Dahlstrom Manufacturing. Prior to retirement in 2007 he was employed by Acu-Rite for over 30 years.He was a member of the: Cassadaga Lakes Country Club, Tuesday Night Golf League, Thursday Night Golf League, Cassadaga Post 1280, American Legion, Stockton Greenwood Cemetery Association having served as trustee. He formerly played in the

Senior Tour Golf League and Lucky Lanes Tuesday Bowling League.Bob was an avid golfer, NY Yankees and Buffalo Bills fan. He also enjoyed reading, traveling and taking trips to Maine and Florida.Surviving are his wife Jean T. Egiziano Smith whom he married June 21, 1969 in New Paltz, NY; two children: David (Sharon) Smith of Middle Island, NY, Laura (Karl) Brewer of Fairport, NY; two grandchildren: Bryan Smith, Drew Smith both of Middle Island; two step grandchildren: Marissa Brewer and Isabelle Brewer both of Fairport.The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Falconer Funeral Home, 44 W. Falconer St., Falconer, NY. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m.
