Shirley J. Ormsby

She was born March 10, 1944 in Westfield, the daughter of Loren and Maxine Frances Near.

Shirley had owned and operated the former Country Flower Shop in Brocton before retiring in 1996.

She was a member of the Sewing Guild and Chautauqua Cruisers Car Club.

Shirley is survived by her husband Larry Ormsby whom she married October 3, 1959 in Hartfield; four children: Kelly (Robert) Ransom, Cindy (Jim Kingsley) Wilson, and Wendy (Greg) Irish of Brocton, and Terry Ormsby of Ripley; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Violet Barr and Carol Westmoreland, and her loving pug Mandy.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, Kevin Callahan Jr. and a brother Gary Near.

Services will be private.

No visitation will be observed.

The Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg is handling arrangements.
