Elaine J. Kohlepp

a brief illness. She was born June 20, 1948 in Silver Creek, the

daughter of the late Lester and Joann “Honey” (Desko) Valentine. Elaine had been employed for 27 years by the New York

State Thruway Authority as a toll collector. She was a member of the Family Church of Fredonia. Elaine enjoyed raising birds, listening to preachers on church TV, growing roses in her earlier years, baking cakes, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Rodney (Nora) Maloney of Lakewood and Dan Kohlepp of Dunkirk; one daughter, Caress Kohlepp of Westfield; one brother, Les “Butch” (Linda) Valentine Sr. of Baltimore, MD; six grandchildren, Shannon

(Matt), Ariel (Jake), Seth (Ryan), Brandon, Zoey, and Lilly; six great grand children, Chassidy, Tristan, Kaylee, TJ, Genevieve, and Mathew; and niece and nephews, Les “Gigi” Jr., Kevin, Shawn, and Melinda. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by

her husband, Ralph H. Kohlepp, who died March 6, 2015; son, Arthur Maloney III, on Feb. 26, 2010; and brother, Laverne “Bubba” Valentine. At Elaine’s request, there will be no services held. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
