Patricia Whitham Wheelock

CT to the late Clyde and Elna Whitman. She grew up alongside her loving sister, Jean and brother Clyde Jr., in Connecticut and then Toronto, Canada.After high school, Patricia went to the University of Buffalo Nursing School and began her nursing career at Buffalo General Hospital. Here, she met her husband, the late Dana Wheelock. They settled in Fredonia, NY and began their family which included daughters, Beth (Dale) Hudson, Gretchen (Dan) Garvey, and sons, the late Dr. Dana W. Wheelock and Andrew (Karin) Wheelock. She spent much of her energy keeping track of her grandchildren; Sean Hudson, Meghann (Cory) Gal-loway, Jed Hudson, Steffen Wheelock, Veronica Wheelock, Anna Garvey, Patrick Garvey, Kirsta Wheelock, Meredith Wheelock and James Wheelock. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Riley Galloway and Sage Hudson.Patricia’s hobbies and talents included tennis, art and interior decorating. She served on many community boards and ran the “Candy Stripers” Junior Nursing Program at Brooks Memorial Hospital. She was a long time Sunday School Teacher at Trinity Episcopal Church in Fredonia, NY Patricia’s Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 11 Day St in Fredonia at 1 p.m. The Rev. James Clement will be celebrating her life.

According to the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Internment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
