Elisabeth Byrd

Born in Esselbach, Germany April 8, 1923 the daughter of Richard and Anna Graf Eyrich.

Elisabeth was a survivor of bombing that occurred in Germany during WWII, she was a member of St. Joseph’s RC Church Gowanda, she loved gardening and animals.

Survivors include her son Harold (Myrna Thames) Byrd of Columbia S.C., granddaughter Valerie Byrd Fort, great-granddaughter Katy Fort, sister Paula Winship of Gowanda, Paula’s children, William (Sondra) Winship Gowanda, Lisa Marrano of Fredonia and Linda (David) Smith of Rock Hill, S.C. Elisabeth is also survived by sister in laws Bonnie Byrd Gardner of Ga. and Elfrieda (Richard) Eyrich of Germany.

Besides her parents Elisabeth is preceded in death by her brothers Otto and Richard Eyrich.

Friends May call at the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center St. Gowanda from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday April 2, 2019 at 10 a.m. from the St. Joseph’s RC Church East Main Street Gowanda (please assemble st church). Interment to follow in the Jolls Cemetery.
