Jefrena Camilia Brown, daughter of Donna Brown and Jeffrey Brown was born on Jan. 1, 2004 at Buffalo Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, NY. She resided in Dunkirk, NY where she attended the Dunkirk Public Schools.
Jefrena had expressed that she wanted to become a doctor. She said that she wanted to get her life together and she wanted to walk that stage. She had the hope of becoming a doctor so that she can help others. She had a kind heart and she loved kids. Jefrena was truly blessed with family and friends who loved her. She was a daughter, granddaughter, a sister, an aunt, a cousin and a friend and she will be truly missed.
Jefrena died on May 16, 2019 at ECMC Hospital in Buffalo, NY.
Preceding her in death is her grandmothers, Sadie M. Thomas of Jamestown, NY, Mary Frances Clyde of Dunkirk, NY and her grandmother Marie Brown of Smithville, GA, her great grandfather, Wyle Clyde, of Dunkirk, NY, three great uncles, James and Jacob Thomas of Jamestown, NY, Herbert Thomas Jr. of Dunkirk, NY. Three Great Aunts, Rushie Thomas Davis and Geraldine Thomas Byrd of Dunkirk, NY and Daisy Mae Fedrick of Jamestown, NY.
Her beautiful memories will forever be cherished in the lives of her family and friends.
Jefrena is survived by her mother Donna Brown, of Dunkirk, NY, her father Jeffrey Brown of Albany, GA, two sisters, Alexis Brown and Donisha Brown, two brothers, Jeffon Brown and Xavier Brown, her nephew, Jaziah Vasquez, her grandmother Marilyn Thomas, her grandfather, Albert Thomas, three aunts, Karen Thomas of Dunkirk, NY, Melissa Walker and Patricia Brown of Americus, GA, six uncles, Albert Thomas Jr. (Pamela) and Allen Thomas (Abby) Timothy Brown (Joan) of Dunkirk, NY, Tony Brown and Gregory Brown of Vienna, GA, and Ernest Brown of Americus, GA, her great grandfather, Herbert Thomas Sr. (Jean) of Rochester, NY and her grandfather, Pete Mansfield, of Americus, GA, her best friend, DanYell Butts, of Dunkirk, NY, and a host of cousins and friends.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday May 29, at 1 p.m. in the Dunkirk American Legion Post No. 62, 211 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
