Alice T. Lord

She was born July 30, 1927 in Franklin, PA. to Donald and Rose Rayden Thorngate. Alice grew up in Franklin, and graduated from Franklin High School.

She enjoyed knitting and was a member of the St. John’s knitting group. Alice was also a member of the Antique Group and Faculty Dames at SUNY Fredonia.

Throughout the years she worked as a sales clerk at both Sears at the D & F Plaza and Tower Gifts in Fredonia. She also volunteered for American Red Cross blood drives.

Alice is survived by her children: Susan (David) Hart of Fredonia, Dick Jr. (Ida) Lord of Fredonia, David Lord of Fredonia, Pat (Peter) Pahk of Southern Pines, N.C., Linda (Steven) Duckworth of Dunkirk, Doug Lord of Forestville, and Nancy (Andrew) McCune of Ann Arbor, MI. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Alice is predeceased by her husband, Dick S. Lord, and infant daughter, Priscilla Sue Lord.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Westfield Stray Cat Rescue, 59 E. Main Street, Westfield, N.Y. 14787 in Alice’s memory. The Lord family would like to thank the caregivers who so lovingly looked after their mom over the past several years.

Visitation hours are Friday, June 14, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at the LARSON-TIMKO Funeral Home, 20 Central Avenue, Fredonia. Funeral Service will be private.
