Eleanor G. Bennett

Eleanor was born in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Axel and Florence (Kelly) Colander. Eleanor was a long-time employee of Specialty Bakeries Inc., formerly Petri’s Bakery Products, in Dunkirk. Eleanor took great pride in her home, and family, whom she loved more than anything. Following her retirement, Eleanor cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Eleanor is survived by her husband of 29 years, Samuel Bennett, her children, Jacqueline G. (Kevin Houghwot) Draggett and Kevin P. (Julie Sanderson) Cole, all of Stockton, and John H. (Rosanne) Cole of Pomfret, her grandchildren, Rick (Desirrea) Pierce of Sinclairville, Ashley Draggett of Stockton, Brook (Vinny Mallaro) Draggett of Jamestown, Melinda (David) Heath of Cassadaga and John H. Cole Jr. of Pomfret, NY, and her great grandchildren, Kaleb and Kailani Pierce, Ethan Kessler, Breanna and Emma Heath, and Kenneth Mallaro.

Eleanor is also survived by her step-children and their families. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her four sisters, Onnolee Danker, Carol Laska, Marcella McConnell, and Marylyn Milliman, and her grand-daughter, Alissa Mari Cole.

There will be no prior calling hours. A memorial service will be celebrated at a future date.
