John Howard McNally

He was born March 29, 1940, in Dunkirk, N.Y. He attended schools in Dunkirk and Florida. He worked mostly in the service industry at the Buffalo Athletic Club and the Hotel Jamestown. He also worked as a bartender at the Dunkirk Moose and Dunkirk Eagles Club. He was a long-time Eagle member. He had been employed by Specialty Metals in Fredonia. He retired because of a medical problem.

He was preceded in death by his father, William J. McNally; his mother, Mary Jean (nee Sullivan) McNally; a brother, William Richard; a sister, Sharon Kathleen Hurd; and his close lifelong friend, Linda Sheridan Cobb. He was very close to the Rod and Sandy Sheridan family of Fredonia. He considered them as cousins. He enjoyed his trips to Ireland, Hawaii, Arizona and California. He visited his time share in Florida every year and enjoyed bingo and visiting casinos.

He is survived by his brother, James (Retha) McNally of Jamestown; a sister, Patricia (Classon) Pierce of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; four nephews, four nieces and many grand-nieces and nephews.
