Nancy A. Stitzel

Born in Gowanda February 21, 1958 the daughter of Theodore and Joyce (Draudt) Stitzel. Nancy was the Salutatorian of Gowanda Central, Class of ’76 she received her Bachelors degree in Social Work from D’Youville College in Buffalo and went on to receive her masters from The University of Syracuse .

A NYS Licensed Psychotherapist, Nancy worked in the Rochester area until her recent retirement. She was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Gowanda , she loved animals and enjoyed coming home to the family farm on Rte. 62 in Gowanda.

Survivors include her mom; Joyce (Draudt) Stitzel of Gowanda, her brother; Daniel (Barbara) Stitzel of Dunlap, ILL., Nephews; Benjamin and Peter (Phylicia) Stitzel, along with Aunt and Uncle; Richard and Sally Stitzel of Gowanda and their children.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father; Theodore Stitzel, who passed away August 9, 2009, her paternal grandparents; Theodore and Edith Stitzel, maternal grandparents; Philip and Mabel Draudt along with her uncles; Robert and Richard Draudt.

A graveside memorial will take place Saturday July 27, 2019 at 11 a.m. from the Jolls Cemetery, Jolls Rd. (Town of Perrysburg) Gowanda, NY (please gather at cemetery) where Nancy will be buried next to her maternal grandparents .

If desired, memorials May be made to a local animal shelter or to the local charity of ones choice.
