Judith Thompson

Judith “Judy” Gormly Thompson, of Fredonia, N.Y., passed away peacefully at her home Monday September 9, 2019. Judy was born June 8, 1947 in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was lovingly adopted by Douglas and Dorothy Gormly and raised with her brother John in Fredonia. She graduated from Fredonia High School in 1965. She attended SUNY Fredonia as well as Vermont College. Judy was first and foremost

a beloved daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She gave of herself selflessly to be sure her family was loved and well cared for. Photography became a passion for Judy after the birth of her first granddaughter. She went on to be a featured local artist, with a showing of her photography at the Pendergast Library in Jamestown. Judy loved to sing and performed in both the Festival Chorus at SUNY Fredonia and in the choir at Chautauqua Institution. Judy enjoyed riding motorcycle with her husband. Their longest trip

was cross country to Yellowstone National Park on their Harley Davidson. They also enjoyed traveling to the New England area in

their convertible Volkswagen Beetle.

Judy is survived by her 2 devoted daughters, Sara Zeller, and Kristie (Donald) Skellie, as well as 3 loving granddaughters: Karlie and Abbey Skellie, and Cameryn Zeller.

Besides her parents Judy was predeceased by her husband, Timothy E. Thompson, brother, John Gormly and son-in-law, Roger Zeller.

Friends may call this Friday, September 13, 4-7 p.m. at LARSON-TIMKO Funeral Home, 20 Central Ave, Fredonia, NY.
