Sharon M (Abbey) Johnson, 71, of Cherry Creek, NY entered into rest October 6, 2019. She was born June 12, 1948 in Jamestown, NY to the late Grace Abbey Rodermund.Sharon graduated from Eisenhower High School, Russell, PA in 1966. She was married to the love of her life, Mendle J Johnson on September 10, 1966.Sharon and Mendle ran their business Mendle’s Crossroads Grocery in Cherry Creek, NY.She was an active member in the Cherry Creek United Methodist Church, the Cherry Creek Fire Auxiliary and was very active in the community.Sharon is survived by her husband Mendle of 53 years, her children; Amy (Walter) Eaton, Vicki Gould and Brian (Belinda) Johnson; her grandchildren; Michael, Jennifer, DJ, Ben, Athena, Zackary, Dominick, Cassey, Jenna, AJ and Sam; great-grandchildren; Reygan, Gavin, Brooklyn, Kynzee, Hartley, Maverick, Whitlee, Abbey and Eliza; her siblings; Robert, Jerry, Susan, David and Kim also survived by many nieces nephews, cousins and friends.She was predeceased by her grandparents Clyde and Lois Johnson, her parents; William and Grace Rodermund her brother; Tim and a great-grandbaby; Barrett.A memorial service will be held Wednesday October 9, 1p.m. at Cherry Creek United Methodist Church Main St. Cherry Creek, NY.In lieu flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105Arrangements entrusted to DiStasio Funeral Home
